Description
The Qalista sits in the gap between a house shoe and a real one. It is a moccasin in black, cut in a driver-inspired style, and it will get worn far more than either category suggests.
The upper is smooth water-resistant leather, so an impromptu walk to the car does not ruin it. Inside, warm faux shearling lines the whole shoe. The rubber outsole is built for durability and traction, which is the part that separates this from a slipper that falls apart by February. Made in Italy.
Wear it around the house on a cold morning and then out of the door without changing, which is the entire argument for owning it. With a cropped trouser it reads as a deliberate flat rather than something you forgot to take off, and that is a surprisingly useful thing to own.
