Size Guide

Sizes we carry

Footwear on this site is in US women's sizing, from size 5 to size 13. Most styles are available in half sizes; a few are made in whole sizes only, and those say so on the product page. Some styles also list a width option — where a width is offered, it appears alongside the size on the product page.

Reading the numbers on a product page

Every shoe lists its heel height. Boots also list shaft height, measured from the arch to the top of the boot, and shaft circumference, measured around the widest part of the shaft. Both are taken on a single sample size by the manufacturer, so treat them as close guides rather than exact figures for every size in the run. Where a shoe sits on a platform, the platform height is listed separately from the heel height.

Choosing a size

Start with the size you take in an ordinary leather shoe. Read the product page before you order: where the manufacturer recommends going up a half size, that note is on the page, and it is there because the last is cut narrow or the style is known to run small. Styles made in whole sizes only should be ordered at the next size up if you normally take a half size.

Fit by shape

Pointed toes take up length in front of the foot, so a pointed pump can feel shorter than a round-toe pair in the same size. Square toes give the toes more room across and can feel roomier. Boots with a stretch panel or stretch leather relax around the calf and ankle with wear; boots without one fit as measured on the day they arrive.

Still unsure

Write to support@shopbootsnjeans.com with the style name and the size you normally wear, or come to the shop in Weslaco and try the pair on.
