A wedge does the work of a heel without the negotiation. The Marina is an espadrille sandal built on that idea, here in platino.
The silhouette is a slide, so it goes on without a fastening, and the toe is round. Crisscross straps hold the foot in place across the top. The wedge heel measures 2.7", which is real height carried on a base wide enough to walk on properly. Leather forms the upper and a rubber outsole finishes the bottom. Made in Spain.
This is a summer shoe with a long reach: tailored shorts, linen trousers, a skirt with air in it. The height dresses up an outfit that would otherwise read casual, and because the sole is broad it survives a full evening standing up. Wear it when a flat sandal is not quite enough and a stiletto is far too much.
