Description
The interesting part of the Ulyssa is hidden: the wedge heel sits inside the boot rather than under it, so the height arrives without the shape that usually announces it.
Soft suede in champagne covers the outside. The heel measures 1.3", the shaft stands 4.7" with a 10.2" circumference, and an inside zipper opens it. Construction is full sacchetto, with the insole stitched to the lining all the way round, which is the reason the boot flexes with the foot instead of against it. A rubber outsole runs underneath. Made in Italy.
A pale boot is a bolder choice than a black one and easier to wear than it looks, because it lengthens the leg rather than cutting it. Put it under cropped trousers where the whole boot shows, and let it be the lightest thing in a winter outfit.
