Description
A tall boot with a platform under it is a different proposition from a tall boot without one. The Rhumba, in black suede, gives you the height and keeps the walking.
There is a hint of stretch through the shaft and the platform sole is flexible, which is what makes 3.3" of stacked heel manageable across an evening. The toe is almond-shaped. The shaft stands 15.3" high with a 12" circumference, so it clears the knee area cleanly. Soft suede covers all of it, and a rubber outsole finishes the bottom. Made in Italy.
Neutral colours are what let a boot this size mix rather than dominate. Wear it over a slim trouser, or under a dress with the shaft showing, and treat it as the tallest thing in the outfit. Everything else can then stay short and simple.
