Description
Nothing about the Pierra is trying to be new. It is a traditional bootie in dark brown, and that is exactly the job it does well.
The leather is ultrasmooth and water-resistant, and the toe comes to a point. Lift is 3” from a covered block heel, so the heel disappears into the boot rather than announcing itself. The shaft stands 5” with a 9.5” circumference, which puts the top edge just above the ankle bone. Inside, a thermal lining handles the cold; a rubber outsole handles the ground. Made in Italy.
This is the boot for the months when the weather is a factor and the dress code still is too. It sits under a straight-leg jean without bunching, and under a midi skirt it leaves a sliver of leg showing. Warm enough for a commute, sharp enough to keep on indoors.
