Texture first. The Peony is cut from calf hair, and in leopard that surface is the entire point of the shoe.
The silhouette under it is a classic one, finished with a covered heel of 3” so the material carries all the way down instead of breaking at the base. Haircalf gives the upper a depth smooth leather cannot reach, and light moves across it as you walk. A rubber outsole keeps the shoe flexible underfoot, which matters more than it sounds at this height. Made in Italy.
Because the pattern is loud, treat it as a neutral and build quietly around it: dark trousers, a plain dress, a coat in one colour. This is the shoe to reach for when an outfit is correct but dull and needs one element with an opinion in it. Evening suits it, and so does a Tuesday.
