Desk to dinner is a phrase shoes rarely live up to. The Pasha, in espresso, is the exception, and it manages it by being extremely plain.
The toe is pointed and the heel is covered, so the shoe reads as a single object rather than a shoe with a heel attached. Soft dress suede here; the range also runs through leather in naplak, nappa, metallic and crinkle metallic. The construction is sacchetto, which means the upper is stitched to hug the foot the way a slipper does, and the rubber outsole underneath stays flexible while walking. The heel measures 1.8". Made in Italy.
A covered heel at this height is the most useful thing in a wardrobe: high enough to finish tailoring, low enough to stand through a long evening. Buy it in a dark neutral and it will outlast whatever it was bought to go with.
