Description
Some shoes are bought for one outfit. The Aurelia, in black nappa leather, is bought for the years in between, a pump built to be worn until it wears out.
The toe is snipped rather than sharply pointed, a shape that flatters without stabbing, and a woven square accent sits on the front as the only ornament. The heel stands 2.1" and is finished in a scratch-resistant lacquer, which is a pragmatic touch on the part of a shoe that always takes the damage first. A rubber outsole is fitted beneath. Made in Spain, and weatherproof.
Neutral colours make this the pump that disappears into whatever it is worn with: tailoring, a work dress, a skirt on a Friday. Because the shape is cut narrow, going up by half a size is the sensible move. Then leave it by the door and stop thinking about it.
